How to Play Mythological Force
Goal
Each player begins with one Major God in play. You win by reducing the opposing Major God to 0 Health, or when your opponent must draw from an empty deck.
Decks and Starting Hand
Choose exactly one Major God and a 60-card main deck. You start with 7 cards. During the mulligan step, you may reshuffle and draw one fewer card each time, down to 1 card.
Turn Order
- Ready: ready exhausted units and unspend Essence.
- Recovery: heal 1 from each unit and Major God.
- Draw: draw 1 card.
- Precombat Main: play cards and activate abilities.
- Battle: attack, block, and resolve combat.
- Postcombat Main: play more cards if able.
- End: discard down to 7 cards.
Essence
You may play 1 Essence card per turn during either main phase. Basic Essence can help pay generic costs, but typed cards need at least one matching typed Essence.
Combat
All attacks are aimed at the enemy Major God. The defender chooses blockers. Unblocked units damage the Major God. Blocked units and blockers deal damage to each other simultaneously.
Keywords
Swift: enters ready and may attack right away. Flying: can only be blocked by Flying or Ranged. Ranged: can block Flying. Guard X: can block X additional attackers. Overwhelm: excess combat damage hits the Major God. Foresee X: look at the top X cards, keep any on top and put any on bottom. Unique: only one copy with that exact name can be controlled at a time.
